When Code Blue debuted in the early 1990s it was a trailblazing State College band that offered a mix of soul and blues, covers and originals. With the 1993 release of its album Stages/Then and Now, the band picked up the pace and toured regionally. It shared billing with Billy Price and Otis Clay at The Decade in Pittsburgh, with Queen Bee and the Blue Hornet Band at the Chameleon in Lancaster, and at the Philadelphia River Blues Fest featuring headliner Al Green. This First Night appearance reunites original vocalists Terri Parker and Rene Oakman, lead guitar Chris Younken, bassist Harry Werner, drummer John Raiser, and “glue” guitar Jerry Zolten. Harmonica wizard Richard Sleigh sits in as a special guest, just as he did back in the day.
A First Night Button is required for this performance.
