First Night Trivia

Quiz shows first appeared on American televisions in the 1950s. These shows allowed bookworms and nerds to share in the excitement of spectator sports as viewers shouted answers at their television sets. (We know people who regularly shout at Jeopardy!) Bar trivia started in the United Kingdom in the 1970s and it took several decades before it gained a foothold in the United States. Gather a team of friends and family and join local trivia mavens John Briggs and Karen Bettleyon in First Night State College’s Trivia Night. They’ll test the audience’s knowledge of the mundane and arcane as teams vie to win fun prizes.
